Disneyland Paris !

When I first came to Paris, I had a "bucket list" so to speak. There are only 5 things on that list, most of them foolish nonesense that I wanted to experience before I left, but the first one on that list was to go to Disneyland Paris. For those of you who are new to the blog, I've been a huge Disneyfan since I got an annual pass to the Disneyland in California my Junior/Senior year of highschool. I'm not sure what I loved so much about it. Maybe it was the people I was going with, or the fact that I was able to go to this perfectly crafted well though out place whenever I wanted. Whatever it was, I've been a huge fan ever since, so going to Disneyland in Paris was definitely on the top of my list.
Our Disney group consisted of my friend Seth from New York and my Parisian friend Audrey. We met up in the morning to take the RER (high speed train within France), and got off directly infront of the park. Thats another great thing about Disneyland Paris -- you dont need to drive or worry about where you parked your car!
The day was surprisingly chilly. I think people thought it would rain so there weren't lines for anything (amazing). Also, I had watched Tim Burton movies the night before, so I was crazy excited for this kind of spooky Disney, This is Halloween, vibe.
My favorite ride was The Haunted Mansion--it is a bit different than the one in California, which is always exciting to see. It just fit the mood and I had just eaten a nice warm churro and coffee before I went on the ride so it was settling nice in my belly throughout the Haunted Mansion tour.
All in all, Disneyland Paris is smaller and -how do i say this- more French. (As it should be). The music isn't as loud, the details aren't as marvelous, the food is healthier (bonus!), and it is a smaller park. Nonetheless, I had an amazing time and look forward to going again for Christmas.

PS: The Disney Dreams firework show is a masterpiece!

Paris Fashion Week and other excuses.

Hey All, this is my post explaining why I haven't been writing as much on this blog. Lets see... I really haven't got a very good excuse, so I'll just blame it on fashion week and the fact that I don't really like to type long posts. Anyways, I'm on now, so I'll try to update you all on whats been happening. First, Paris Fashion Week just came to a close, which is great because I wasn't getting enough sleep because of it. I wasn't going to too many shows, although I did go to a couple of really great ones, but I was keeping up with the editing/writing/reviewing/stylestalking that comes with PFW, or fashion week in general because I did the same thing for New York and Milan Fashion Week as well. Going to the shows was great. I saw alot of fashioncelebrities (aka people who I'm obsessed with because of their contribution to the fashion world or their general ability to dress well and self promotion.) and alot of great venues. Museums, stadiums, garages, galleries, gardens, the simplests places became a behive of fashionistas and models. It was great.
Other than that, I went to Provins this weekend which was really cool cause its still in this "medieval time" theme. I saw a falcon show and had a five course meal, but the most interesting part was the wine. Sitting at a table with freshmen who didn't want to drink, I ended up cumulating about 10 glasses infront of me. Cheers.
The falcon show that followed was hilarious -- i'm sure you could imagine..., if only I wasn't thirty minutes late because I got lost and ended up wandering around an old castle...
The sound of horses and people cheering finally brought me back to the stadium where the show was held.
Visited the Cha Cha Club as well for a new magazine launch. My friend graced the cover in her sexy birthday suit so that was cool. Ended up getting invited to some gallery opening by some museum curator who asked me to light his cigarette.
I'm not sure if my french is getting better, but I am kind of freaking out because I really need it to.
Must go do the dishes that have accumualted in my sink this week. Not going out tonight and  definitely shunning this nuit blanche that sounds like it would painfully torture my feet.
